All the food served at the Museum is cultivated in an environment free of agrochemicals, and fertilizers, a practice based on the principles of Shumei Natural Agriculture. Today, Natural Agriculture project exist in Africa, Europe, North America, Taiwan, and the Philippines.

Shumei Natural Agriculture is a method in accordance with nature, which is not a static practice, but one which is continually evolving, with research taking place in many different terrains and climates such as Colorado's high desert and the arid planes of Zambia.
